Time And Work Problems

1.   Ram can do a piece of work in 20 days while Shyam does in 30 days.
(i)          Calculate their work efficiency ratio and in what
(ii)         In what time they can finish work together?

2.   Ram and Shyam started the work together and they work for 8 days after that Ram left the work. Calculate the time in which Shyam can do the remaining work?

3.   A is two more efficient then B. and together they can do a piece of work in 12 days. In what time A can do alone of the work?

4.   A can do a piece of work in 20 days, while B can do in 20 days.
(i)          Calculate their work efficiency ratio?
(ii)         In what time they work can do half of work?
(iii)        A started the work and he works for 11 days. After that B enters the works. Calculate the time in which total work will be finished?
(iv)       A started the work and he works for some days, after that he left the works then B enter the work and he did the remaining work in 10 days. Calculate the time in which A left the work?
(v)         A and B started the work together and they work for some days but 6 days before it completion of work B left the work. Calculate the time in which A and B work together?
(vi)       A and B started the work together and they work for five days after that B left the work. Calculate the time in which remaining work will be finished?

5.   A and B together can do a piece of work in 15 days while B can do alone of a work in 25 days. In what time A can do alone of the work.

  2. I m Jegadeesh . i had one doubt in the sum A and B can do a piece of work in 12 days . B and C can do a piece of work in 15 days . C and A can do a piece of work in 20 days . how long would each take separetely to do the same work . pls reply as early as possible .

    1. A+B=12=5/60 A=60/2=30 days
      B+C=15=4/60 B=60/3=20 days
      C+A=20=3/60 C=60/1=60 days
