SSC holds a Combined Graduate Level Examination for different posts.

The Exam will be conducted in THREE Tiers mentioned below

1. Tier - I :-   Written Examination (Multiple Choice Objective type)
2. Tier - II :-  Written Examination (Multiple Choice Objective type)
3. Tier - III :-  Personality Test / Interview, Skills Test / Computer Proficiency Test (Wherever Applicable)

AGE LIMIT : 18 - 27 Years for the POSTS of Inspector of Income Tax / Tax Assistants / Inspector (Central Excise) / Assistant Enforcement Officer Divisional Accountant / Inspector (Preventive Officer) / Inspector (Examiner) / Inspector of Posts  / Auditors / UDCs / Accountants / Junior Accountants / Compilers.

AGE LIMIT: Not exceeding 26 Years fot the Post of Statistical Investigator.

AGE LIMIT : 20 -27 Years for the Post of Assistant / Sub Inspector in CBI

Syllabus for Tier - I :- (Total Marks - 200)

1. General Intelligence (Reasoning) - 50 Marks
2. General Awareness - 50 Marks
3. Numeric Aptitude (Maths) - 50 Marks
4. English Comprehension - 50 Marks

Total Marks - 200, Time Duration - 120 Minutes (2 hours)

Time For VH : 140 Minutes / (2 hours &20 Minutes)

General Intelligence (Reasoning):  It includes questions of verbal & non-verbal type.  It includes questions on Analogies, Similarities and Differences, Problem solving, Analysis, Judgement, Decision making, Observation, Relationship, Arithmetical reasoning and Figural Classification, Number series, Non-verbal series, Coding / Decoding, Statement Conclusion (Syllogism). 

Semantic Analogy / Series / Classification, Symbolic or Number Analogy, Figurative Analogy / Classification, Number Series, Problem Solving, Word Building, Coding & Decoding, Numerical Operations, Symbolic Operations, Venn Diagrams, Punched hole/ pattern / Folding & Unfolding, Indexing, Address matching, Date & city Matching, Classification of center codes/Roll numbers, Small & Capital letters/numbers Coding, Decoding and Classification, Embedded Figures, Critical thinking, Emotional Intelligence, Social Intelligence etc. syllabus For SSC Exam 2013

General Awareness:  It Includes awareness of the environment around us / Current Affairs / Events / Daily Observation and experience / News Matter etc.. It includes questions related to our & other neighborhood countries (SUMMITS, Culture, Geography, Policies, Constitution, Technical or Scientific Research, Presidents / Prime Ministers / Head & Headquarters etc.. )

Syllabus For Tier - II: ( Total Marks - 400)

• Arithmetic Abilities (Maths) - 200 Marks, 100 Questions, Time - 120 Minutes / (2 Hours)
• English Language & Comprehension - 200 Marks, 200 Questions
• Statistics - 200 Marks, 200 Questions

Time For VH :- 180 Minutes / (2 hours & 40 Minutes)

• Interview : 100 Marks
• Proficiency / Skills Test 

Syllabus For Tier - III: Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) for the Post of Assistant in CSS only.

Syllabus For SSC Exam 2013

Data Entry Skill test @ Speed of 8000 key depression per hour For Tax Assistants.

NOTE :

• Questions will be of Objective Type (Multiple Choice) and will be set in both Hindi & English Language.
• There will be NEGATIVE MARKING of 0.25 marks for each wrong question in Tier - I & Tier - II Exam. So, Candidates are advised to keep this in their mind while answering the question.
